I love how people that know nothing about racing say nascar is better than f1?

Seriously if you think nascar is better than F1, you must be retarded. I even hear on the nascar telecasts they say “the fastest drivers in the world.” HA! Nascar drivers are not even close to being as good as IRL/champ car drivers. It is an insult to even compare the best nascar driver to the worst F1 driver. It just goes to show you, ameicans really are brain dead when it comes to auto racing. I myself am american, and it really sucks that this country is obsessed with the wrong racing series. First of all most americans that say they like nascar just watch it for the crashes. They are just plain idiots. Second, the others that like nascar just like the oval racing. Oval racing is very boring, and requires not much skill. I like when they go to the road courses, and guys like Boris Said come in there with inferior equipment, and beat all of the so called fastest drivers in the world. That will tell you something right there. Wake up america, Nascar is a joke. It is the WWF of racing

    nascar is better

Well you do have a point F1 cars do accelerate faster and corner better they even go faster but dont usually maintain high speeds because of corners. The two require differnt types of driving styles thats probably why Montoya’s not doing so well right now. So I guess you really have to know what your doing in both of those car racing types but personally I think driving F1 cars are harder.

I appreciate all racing. Seeing Nascar in person makes it allot better. Juan Pablo Montoya said that the Nascar cars aren’t as easy to race as people think they are. That man is a world renown driver and has raced in several different series including F-1. Hell I was in INDY for the F-1 fiasco and I still like F-1. Any kind of racing involves skill and the proper equipment. Racing is money driven. If you don’t have the FUNDS you probably won’t have a good chance to win. Boris Said is the man. But he still usually during road courses raced for teams with money. I’m just glad racing season is back.

at least the cars NASCAR still look like cars the F-1’s look like an airplane with the wings on upside down. If you could put that much down force on a car that is twice the weight (like Nascar), they would very fast and perhpas even give the F-1’s a run.
But if a car like that got out of control you would lose fans because if got into the stands they would die. how about we try a head on collision with a stock car and an F-1 and see which driver goes to the morgue.

I am fed up with F1 because their racing formula is the worst formula in racing today. The racing is crap! The aerodynamics in F1 is 100% against racing, it isn’t condusive to good racing.

I’ve been watching racing for 25 years.

BTW, NASCAR has a long way to go. The racing back 40 years ago in NASCAR was good just as the racing in F1 40 years ago was good.

The biggest problem in F1 & NASCAR is money. But NASCAR is trying to make the racing better with the car of tomorrow but that car has some serious flaws that can only be fixed with a full field test.

F1 has ZERO solution to fix their racing aero flaws and actually, they made them worse.

this does nothing to prove that Amerians are brain dead. makes no sense at all. based on choice of race type come on give it a break. Nascar must not be a joke with all the fans out there. it is also something enjoyed by families

I have a couple of questions for you.
    1. How can you even compare F1 and NASCAR? F1 is pure technology…you have to be a good driver, but alot of it is the car.I am not particularly fond of steering, traction control. driver skill is not a premium.
    2. Exactly how much driving have you done? How can you say it takes no skill to drive an oval? Yes, it does take a different type of skill set for road racing, but it all takes skill.
    3. I really would think if you are comparing drivers, then try the rally circuit has probably the best skill set .

Why is everybody comparing apples with bananas, we could also ask which is better; Classical or Rock and Roll? they’re both music.
I prefer Rock and Roll and Motocross.
    LOL

    PS Roll over Beethoven.

Well, first off, I guess I will point out that this isn’t a question. Simply putting a question mark at the end of a sentance doesn’t make it a question. But here’s some commentary:

First off, I am not exactly a fan of NASCAR, but I am a fan of many forms of motorsport, including F1. However I think alot of the comments about NASCAR are a little ignorant. Just because the demands on a driver in NASCAR are different than F1 – and not exactly LESS, just different, doesn’t mean that the drivers are some how less. Yes, considering the talent in F1 or WRC or ALMS, etc, it’s hard to see a comment as “World’s Best Drivers!” But come on, you’re an adult and have probably figured out that there is this thing called marketing and promotion by now? Some of them may rank among the best from elsewhere, just as some from elsewhere would also fall short of being among the best.

I don’t consider myself a fan of NASCAR because the particulars about it don’t match up with the things I most enjoy about racing. But the fact is there are some very talented people at all levels of the teams, including some very talented drivers!

  11. vec p says:

you can’t compare f1 with nascar, they simply have a different aproach to auto racing. competitiveness in nascar is concentrated in the race track because the cars are pretty similar. Competitiveness in F1 is determined by a combination of research & development and driver. It’s easier for a new team to have success in nascar than in F1. F1 is the best racing series in the world.

  12. Billy S says:

if your form of racing is so great then why are all your drivers trying to leave to get into nascar your racin does not even have a big enough fan base to keep them there F1 sucks and the drivers are starting to realize where the best racing is at

  13. DK says:

hmm…. nascar vs f1….f1 is a retarded lookin airplane with wheels..nascar is a car not a retarded lookin airplane…..f1 cars wreck…the driver rolls on his head through a turn nascar wreck drivers r safe….f1s just gay..nascars straight…get the point?

  14. hollilynn says:

You don’t know a damn thing about ANYTHING. You are nothing but a loser who has no life.
    Rot in hell cocksucker.
Answering your questions letting you know that you are being reported for all of your a-s-shole comments is the easiest 2 points I ever recieved.

  15. peace love happiness says:

first of all what the fuck??
you have got no fricken right to say that… i mean for godness sakes why the heck are you even comparing two DIFFERENT racing syles to eachother… UR retarded.. why the heck are you insulting others for their own likes?? let other people like what they like if you hate it… then shut the hell up… its comment like this that piss me off….

  16. Adam says:

NASCAR isn’t necessarily a joke, but everyone who says that F1 and any other form of racing sucks is really just talking out their a**. It all depends on what you like. I happen to like IRL and Champ Car, myself.

The fact is, every form of racing requires different skills and techniques. Hell, it may not seem like it, but there is a huge difference between IRL cars and courses and Champ Cars and their courses. And for all the people who talk down about open wheel racing, I’d like to see your favorite NASCAR driver strap on a F1 car. Chances are, they’d turn a Ferrari or McLaren into a million little unidentifiable pieces the first time they drove it!

  17. Redneck says:

Let me just say this. No “road course specialist” has ever come into NASCAR and won a race.
