Formula One Driver’s Awards of 2010At last, my awaited 2010 response to my 2009 awards video is here, bringing my video tally to 17. This video simply follows in the foot tracks of my 2009 video, bestowing honours or dishonours upon drivers who stood out for reasons good or bad. Only this time, it’s in regard to the 2010 season. The awards are the same as last year but two additional awards, “Most Improved Driver of The Year” and “…

kubica is driver of the year for me when will they give him a title challanging car alonso did do alot of overtakes but when it waas needed in the last race he couldnt!!! great vid
Finally someone who sees Button for what he ultimately is – Ordinary.
@FormulaOneFan4Eva – also, as i mentioned in the video. hamilton had the aid of the F-duct and the mercedes engine which would’ve made overtaking a lot easier for him as opposed to alonso.
no disrespect to hamilton, but alonso was truly the best overtaker of the year. he even overtook hamilton himself on a couple of occasions.
@kirbster1977 – hamilton and kobayashi, i both considered for overtaker of the year. but i think alonso just shades them for his three consecutive charges through the field early in the year.
in australia, alonso dropped to nearly last at the first corner and ended up 4th. in malaysia he would’ve had 8th after starting 19th despite a bad gearbox. in china, again nearly dropped to last but fought up to 4th and in monaco, he still overtook 6 cars in 2 laps!
that earned him the title for me.
Yamamoto has only ever scored points once outside of a Japanese racing Formulae, and has never really shown anything special before his F1 career began from what I can see. Quite frankly, he has surprised me. In that he even got into F1, obviously.

Good recap of the year. I think Hamilton should get overtaker of the year though, Alonso failed to overtake his slower team mate on a few occasions and did not even attemp a proper manouver on Petrov at the final race. Monaco was down to luck with early stop before safety car. Lewsi in the early races was overtaking for fun, and re took Button after a sneaky pass. Apart from that im with you all the way.
@FormulaOneFan4Eva Kabayashi deserved overtaker of the year…He might not have performed the most overtakes, but he tried almost everywhere…
@FormulaOneFan4Eva – Bring on 2011 I say, cant wait to see how the new regs pan out and who comes out on top. Nice channel.
